The ISCAC (Idaho Sportsmen Caucus Advisory Council) claims to be a pro-hunting, pro-hunting heritage organization that supposedly represents the tens of thousands of Idaho Hunters. However, at their most recent "CAMO DAY" which was held at the Statehouse on Jan. 16th, only approximately 150 people showed up. Many of whom were the board members of this particular organization. The ISCAC advertised this rally as follows:
"Join the thousands of members of the Idaho sporting public on January 16th at the State Capital in an effort to remind the Idaho Legislature that Idaho Sportsmen are the 2nd largest voting block in Idaho. Please make a concerted effort to attend to show your support for Idaho’s Sportsmen! Please do not let this day go unnoticed, plan to attend! Wear your Camo, your Hunter orange or fishing duds and bring your friends!"
What they didn't advertise was that the main purpose of this rally was to promote their environmental/political activist agenda to end all domestic elk ranching in Idaho.
In addition, the HSUS which is the largest anti-hunting organization in U.S. helped with the promotion and advertising of ISCAC's event on their own website.
You might wonder why ISCAC would align itself with our country's biggest anti-hunting group, well just take a trip over to Oregon, and see what HSUS is up to over there.
The HSUS provides funding and promotion for these "Hunting" group's agendas. They are looking for every opportunity to get their foot in the door, and eventually inch their way against all hunting in America.
HSUS- "As a matter of principle, The HSUS opposes the hunting of any living creature for fun, trophy, or sport because of the animal trauma, suffering, and death that result. A humane society should not condone the killing of any sentient creature in the name of sport. As a practical matter, The HSUS actively seeks to eliminate the most inhumane and unfair sport-hunting practices, such as the use of body-gripping traps, baiting, use of dogs, pigeon shoots, stocking of animals for hunting, and fee hunting on enclosed properties.
Unfortunately, the welfare of animals may, on occasion, necessitate the killing of wildlife. When such killing is permitted, it must be used as a last resort, be demonstrably necessary, and be conducted by responsible officials, and the methods utilized must result in an instantaneous and humane death.
The legitimate needs of human sustainance may also sometimes necessitate the killing of wildlife. In such cases, killing should be accomplished in a humane and non-wasteful manner. Individuals of endangered or threatened species must be protected from subsistence hunting."
